Thank you for the information on ECU and Greenville. One correction is needed under Golf. The municipal course is Bradford Creek Golf Course instead of Bedford. You might want to add that Greenville is only 1hr and 30min from Morehead City/Atlantic Beach and 45min from New Bern which is the birthplace of Pepsi. Having lived in Morehead for a few a few years there's no other place that has better seafood restaurants. There are also great golf courses in this area as well.
Boli's 5th street pizzeria is a great place to eat in greenville. It has been voted "best pizza in greenville" for many years and is located very close to campus and about a mile from the DF stadium. The menu also has pasta and subs. Pirate fans are always found here!
CPW's offers great Italian and The Starlight Cafe, located just a few steps from campus is also a great restaurant. You should include something on Freeboot Friday's as it is a part of tradition the night before games. Visitors from other schools would love to mingle and have a good time full of food, beer, and other spirits with the Pirate faithful.
Looks good so far. I would change the driving directions, however.
264 East turns into Stantonsburg Road once you get to Greenville. A few blocks after crossing over Memorial Dr., you will be forced to turn either Left or Right. Turn right (this will be 14th Street). 14th Street will take you all the way to the top of "College Hill". A left onto College Hill Dr. will take you to the General Parking lots at the bottom of the hill.
Downtown greenville is where the 20 something crowd likes to gather for pirate beverages. Boli's, and Hams have food and great bars, 519 and Levels are great bars. Many other great places around town such as Pirates Pub and Emerald City are also great places with a good atmosphere. Downtown is the place to be friday night before the game, and saturday night celebrating a pirate victory!! arrghhh
dang........we got all that?????????? Just kidding. Great job.......anytime ya wanna visit......let me know. Will be glad to host ya. Keep up he good job
Downtown caters to the hip-hop crowd more so than the college students on weekend nights. A more appropriate venue for most returning alumni would one of the sports bar locations along Greenville blvd.
Recommendations of seafood restaurants in the Morehead/Atlantic Beach area include Amos Mosquito's (Atlantic Beach), Key West Seafood Co. (Morehead City), Channel Marker (Atlantic Beach), and Watermark Restaurant (Atlantic Beach). Golf courses include Brandywine Bay (toughest course in the area I might add) in Morehead City, Crystal Coast Country Club in Atlantic Beach. The owners at CCCC have recently done some nice renovations. North River Golf Country Club is a new course that just opened in June. Can't wait to head back down and try it out.
